You and Who’sday – You and Who on JetBlue: 30 Cities in 90 Days

Some of you may have heard about the exciting campaign You and Who launched recently, dubbed “You and Who on JetBlue: 30 Cities in 90 Days.”  JetBlue recently offered a new promotion, called BluePass, which allows unlimited travel from Boston to cities JetBlue flies to from August 22^nd to November 22^nd, 2011.  We thought this would be the most efficient way to take You and Who to the next level and launch the company in 23 new cities, beyond the nine in which we currently do business. 

For those who may not be familiar with You and Who, we are a Buffalo-based buy-one-give-one company that donates matching apparel and meals to organizations helping those in need for every item we sell.

The basic concept for the “You and Who on JetBlue” campaign is this: As You and Who’s main advocate, I will be on a mission to find organizations to donate to, artists to design shirts for our second theme, “Moving Forward,” and retail stores to sell our apparel across the country, expanding our current reach from nine to 30 U.S. cities. In the cities where You and Who already has a presence, I’ll be hand delivering new clothing to the organizations we’ve been working with throughout our first year of business. 

Next week kicks off the festivities, where I’ll head to Chicago to deliver donated items to shelters with which we have relationships, and officially launch You and Who in Miami by meeting with new shelters and artists. On average, I’ll be visiting two to three cities per week, taking over 60 flights in total.  Traveling to 30 cities in 90 days—all connecting through Boston, and only Boston—is no small task, but You and Who is up for the challenge and plans to have some fun along the way.  And, we’d like to ask you—or anyone interested in what we do—if you know of any organizations, artists or retail stores you think we should get in touch with during our travels, we want to hear from you!

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention what a great first year You and Who has had, especially in our hometown of Buffalo. Special thanks to local organizations such as The Good Neighborhood, Buffalo First, and Buffalo Place who have aided us in our mission of helping people in need throughout the area.

Also, I’d like to acknowledge the Buffalo artists who have lent their talents to design some of our t-shirts: Graham Abbott, Chris Bissonette, Carrie Boye, Melissa Gebhardt, Jarek Pulit, Courtney Remm, Terri Swiatek, and Kate Wolcott. All of these shirts, and our winter hats, can be purchased at http://www.youandwho.com/.  The artist will receive $1 compensation from You and Who for each of their shirt sold, and the matching donated item will go back to the city where the artist is from.
